“Slow Things” touts a slow-burning vocal lead that’s haunting and hypnotic, sharply aided by synth/keyboard work alternating between light and dark, guitar flourishes, and a steady rhythm section. It’s a track of two parts; the first half emphasizes the husky, consuming vocal lead and an understated late-night rock feel with synth additions, while the second half is heavy on the organs and lead guitars. Throughout it all, “Slow Things” is a thoroughly gripping success heavy on late-night feels.
Very Nice Massage will be releasing an entire album across streaming platforms in early February.
