The intoxicating “Love Drug” is a just-released track from Beatrix Sky, a Seattle-based artist who impressed earlier this year with the enthralling track “Forget Me.” The artist impresses especially with “Love Drug” and its haunting, consuming tone. The ominous stir of cathedral organs are quickly supplemented by Beatrix’ gripping vocals and some dreamy percussion. From here, the track never lets go atmospherically, reminding of Lana Del Rey certainly in tone, though also showcasing a ghostly exterior reminiscent of Marissa Nadler. “Love Drug” sounds like the remnant of a ghost, in the best way possible.
