After impressing with tracks like “Population Grave” and “Sharpie Head,” The Laytcomers return with a similarly charismatic tune that reminds of a cross between The Fall and early Supergrass. Snarling vocals, a driving bass line, and a variety of anxious guitar tones combine for an enjoyably disconcerting sound, less on the pop-forward spectrum than previous tracks, though again showing the group’s creative and bustling energy in commendable form.
