“Subatomic Lessons” is a just-released track from Punku, the project of South American-born artist Alvaro Zelaya, who impressed with “On the Beach” in July. That one was a showcase of his chillwave, psych-rock, and alternative tendencies. “Subatomic Lessons” is via his forthcoming lo-fi album Big Rip, and is described by Punku as “fun, light, and puts a step into your step.” The track has a bright and enjoyably raucous feel, stomping percussion and well-lit guitars combining with chipper vocals for a fun, appealing sound.
