Swedish-American pop group EYES EYES released their new track “WAR” today. It’s a twinkling, catchy success — the melodic vocals and shimmering acoustics bolstered by effervescent keys. After a minimalist beginning with vocals and accordion-like pulsations, the track quickly shifts into polished-pop gear. From here on, it’s ear candy. The group’s core, the duo of Johan Barrett and Markus Miljand, are joined by producer Lars Skoglund (Lykke Li, Shout Out Louds etc.). Additionally, the music is recorded and mixed by Daniel Bengtsson at Studio Rymden in Stockholm. The result is a well-produced, very melodic endeavor.
