“Discover Each Other” is a smooth, soulful new track from Zac Apollo, off his just-released album Loveset. “The whole album was recorded in my room (besides the live drum pieces),” Zac explains. “Almost every song went through 3 different versions of itself until it made the last stop at where it is now. Everything was played by me, guitar, bass, drums, sax, vocals.”
The California-based artist starts the track with a tender guitar line and drops of brass, leading into a vocal performance that recalls an entrancing vein of soul and funk. The “can’t you see,” segment at 02:29 is bolstered by twinkling keys, which add an extra dimension to the smooth-flowing guitars and vocals. This is pure easy-listening, and a nice entry into Zac’s sound and his impressive new album.
