The music videos for Evelyn Drach’s material are among the most captivating I’ve seen this year, starting with “Never Let Me Go” in September and now with the new video for “Predator & Prey,” which was featured on Boooooooom TV earlier today. Her spoken-word vocals and percussive pit-pattering are accompanied by images of a burgeoning feast. The track’s transition from spoken-word engrossment to the chorus, where electric guitar segments and melodic vocals take over, is striking. Directed by London-based filmmaker Maddalena McNicholas, the video features a cast of characters gorging into food, love, and lust — the images aligning with interesting allure with the captivating music.
