Lord Sonny the Unifier is the rock project of Brooklyn-based musician Greg Jiritano, who takes a cue from rock legends of the ’60s and ’70s on his forthcoming album Final Notice!, due TBA. The track “Right In Your I” is the album’s opening track, and does well in setting the scene. Heavy guitar distortion and confident vocals kick things off, giving way to a more melodic vocal presence and key-led series thereafter. The glistening piano addition after the two-minute mark provides a reprieve from percussion, as it rests before a thunderous final two minutes, full of distortion and psych-friendly guitar/vocal additions. This is a very fun opening track that’s indicative of an album with exhilarating potential.
