The brief though infectious “GREEN TEA” is a new track from Goose, Esq. — a 22-year-old rapper and producer from Denton, Texas. He melds the psych-friendly nature of conscious rap with a modern, aggressive touch that’s evident in the vocal delivery and lyrical content. Think Avalanches’ takes on hip-hop mixed with Das Racist. Lyrically, from “pedicures like Epicurus,” to references of Al-Qaeda in Montego Bay and Pinochet, there’s several clever bites and memorable takes. The production, courtesy of aNTOJE, shows little variation though is bursting with catchy energy in the bright synth and alternating percussion. “GREEN TEA” is a brief one, though shows this hip-hop act’s flow well.
