Ah Trees hail from Western Australia (Perth), drawing accolades in Australia and beyond for a rock sound that’s enjoyably steeped in ’80s nostalgia — particularly of the post-punk and alternative variety. Following the release of standalone single “Nomads & Pilgrims,” earlier this year, the band is back with another single: “How Long Must We Wait,” released today. Glistening guitar twangs with a post-punk allure combine, touting a thumping bass line and dreamy vocals that contribute to a hypnotic sound. The bass-heavy verses glide seamlessly into expanding segments of guitars, the rhythm section remaining constantly impressive, on par with the sturdy post-punk influence. Ah Trees continue to rise.
