As Robb Westlund’s take on “a town that’s become pretty hectic,” “San Francisco” is an atmospheric slice of synth-pop that focuses on an “old radio filter-y sound” in its aesthetic. His vocals ascend gradually in intensity throughout, erupting at 02:13 as the loopy synths arrive to a pulsating bass-synth. The track does well in being book-ended by delightfully atmopsheric synth-pop, all while providing some effective variation in the increasing vocal intensity, reaching its peak at 04:17.
