The Thirds are a rock trio from Oneonta, New York, whose new album Dork Matter features development of their vocals, including more harmonies. Chalk it up to an inspiration from The Beach Boys. The release also takes a cue from John Bonham-style drumming, ’80s “verb distortions, in-your-face Cage the Elephant lo-fi sound, and iconic Beatles’ grit.” Forming in late 2015, the band went on to release their debut album 60/60 Vision in the summer of 2016. You can stream that in its entirety below.
Look out for the Antimatter/Maybe/Dork Matter EP soon, via the band’s Bandcamp page.
