Post-Modern Connection are a new group from British Columbia, integrating elements of soul, pop, and rock into a captivating sound on new track “Lost In Talk”. The band describes the effort as “a take on how easy it is to get lost in dialogue when people fail to be honest with themselves and others.” The act takes little time getting started, with six seconds inward showing a burst of twangy guitars and active rhythms. The lead vocals have a quivering, melodic edge reminiscent of Future Islands’ Samuel Herring. The effervescent guitar tone persists throughout, with a great guitar-laden breakdown around 01:21 adding variety. With top-notch production and melodic smarts, “Lost In Talk” is a great introduction to this rising act.
