California dream-psych project The Ambient Light impress with just-released track “Feelin Kinda Lost”, featuring Pure Mids. Per the project, the track “takes a groovy, lighthearted approach to the thoughts that arise from feelings of fear and anxiety and wraps it all in a summertime shimmer.” It comes via their forthcoming album, Sun-drenched (Her Summer Mixtape). A grooving bass line works alongside prickly, effervescent synths and tranquil guitar twangs — like Modest Mouse guitars meet a chilled-out vein of psych-laden electronica. It’s a perfect groover for shifting into a weekend, hopefully filled with shimmering carefree delights.
