Nick Lamb produces a heartfelt vein of folk and rock, evidenced on two new tracks in “Gettin’ High Off You” and “Simple Man”. The former expresses adoration for his wife, touting the importance of free and happy love. “Simple Man” – touting the lyrics “I’m just a simple man, doin’ the best I can,” – is an inspiring song that says, above money and fame, love is all we need. Lamb’s emotive vocals and swaying acoustical guitar work make for a fine arsenal, his love-driven and anti-superficiality lyrics being a much needed reprieve from today’s hustle, bustle, and negativity.
