In his successful pursuit of ’80s-tinged synth-pop magic on new track “The End of the Day”, Vivian le Vavasseur embraces an analogue vintage drum machine and vocal yearning in a sound that’s nostalgic though with a touch of modern effervescence. Brass-like synths playfully strut out toward the track’s conclusion. The vocals emerge with smooth precision as the synths and drum machine fade in, an echoe-y effect on the vocals providing a nice touch. This is a very solid track release from the Berlin-based artist, who released a full-length last December in Snow, streaming in full below:
