Grippingly lush, “Ailleurs” is a stunning new track from French four-piece Grand Blanc, who released their debut self-titled EP in 2014, a full-length in 2016, and now seem poised for a big year if “Ailleurs” is any indication. Camille Delvecchio’s vocals star, seamlessly alternating from the verses’ more subdued nonchalance into a soaring chorus that projects the track’s name. Delvecchio’s alluring vocals and the deep rhythm section are the sole presenters at points, though the enchanting synth usage is never far away. The track’s second half is more atmospheric, with an otherworldly sort of feel that eventually results in a jazz-y interpretation of the initial melody. This is quite a striking effort from Grand Blanc. Stream on Spotify here.
