Utah-based singer/songwriter Andrew Goldring began his foray into solo material in 2016, after fronting two bands – Golden Sun and Great Interstate – in the half-decade prior. The results thus far have been great, as evidenced last May with the excellent track “Cosmic Dance“, touting a strong melody and suave vocal presence reminiscent of Cass McCombs. Now, Goldring is back with another single in “Lost in the Motion”, an accomplishment with shimmering, laid-back twangs and similarly suave vocals, this time fondly recalling The War on Drugs. The “’cause I’m like a stone” hook glistens with ample lush charisma, kicking off 2018 in great form for Goldring.
