London-based uah just released “Stolen”, his second release of 2017. The impressive track combines suave, blues-tinged vocals with a key-tinged soundscape that features funk guitars and a sizzling synth solo. “I believe, you know every stolen moment that we’ll never see,” he sings with melodic precision after the two-minute mark, paving way to a bouncy synth solo that works beautifully within the track’s structure. Everything from the synth work to the twinkling keys and uah’s vocal performance works wonderfully. uah – also “known in another life as an architect of massive spectacular interactive structures that float in the sky for audiences of thousands” – is clearly capable of some very engrossing songwriting and production.
