Los Angeles-based artist Violet Rose crafts a gripping vein of electro-pop throughout her new four-track EP, Plastic. Raised in a small western Pennsylvania town, Violet Rose is bursting onto the L.A. scene with a shimmering sound with hook-laden appeal. Such is evident on the EP’s opening track, “Turn Me On”, which builds to an infectious chorus featuring blistering synths and vocal effervescence, the conventional verses taking a backseat to electro-fronted dominance. Violet Rose, who has already opened for the likes of Yuna and Daley, is clearly on the rise, and these four EP tracks will undoubtedly receive some nice exposure and likely some interesting remixes, as well.
