Copenhagen-based electronica artist Reimer specializes in an entrancing vein of progressive and deep house, producing a sound ripe with atmospheric depth. Certainly on the darker, textural side, “Exodus” is a track with substantial mood, beginning with an intense rhythmic push over the ominous synths, before an effervescent and lush synth line emerges around the one-minute mark to scale things back. This builds to the thrilling drop at the two-minute mark, and especially at 03:38 when all the elements converge for the track’s most exhilarating moment. “Exodus” is an accomplished effort that cohesively traverses from a murky initial soundscape into club-ready fervency.
