LocalBlac – “HOV”

/

LocalBlac is the captivating hip-hop vehicle of Los Angeles-based Travon D. Bryant, who previously released under the name Blac Negus. Stylistically, his fantastic new track “HOV” reminds of the soundscape on the latter sections of Kendrick’s Section.80, specifically the haunting and nocturnal vibes on “Chapter Six” (particularly the subtle vocal backing), though with “HOV” unleashing a more intense and fast-paced vocal delivery. The track showcases a fluid, emotionally captivating flow and all-out haunting beat, showing Bryant as an extremely capable artist on the rise.

“I had been lying low for about the last quarter of 2016 because I was transitioning from my previous stage name Blac Negus to LocalBlac and I wanted to deliver a project that spoke what LocalBlac was all about,” Bryant explains. “Funny part about this song is that it’s the outro track to my self-titled project LocalBlac, but it was also the first track I wrote for the tape.”
