Newly formed trio Lazy Bones – out of Ithaca, New York – impress on their debut single “Take It Back.” A fluid bass line and relaxed vocals traverse the first verses with a breezy charm, with the “take it back” bridge around 00:40 showing melodic charm in its subtle transitioning leading into the trickling wordless vocal bit at the one-minute mark. A series of emphasized guitar twangs add to the fold just after the two-minute mark, adding some variation to an otherwise repetitively hypnotic effort. It’s one flowing with suave charm, a track that works well as a debut in showcasing an act with ample potential and melodic allure.
