Impressing early this year with the track “Tether“, Blushing is back at it with the equally beautiful “Weak”. The Austin-based husband-and-wife quartet release “Weak” as the first single off their sophomore album of the same name. Its video features them performing in slow motion, set against a dreamy setting of fog, lights, shadows, and swirling colors that mesh aptly with the shoegaze and dream-pop aesthetic. The video was shot entirely on an iPhone in true DIY spirit, directed, filmed, and edited by drummer Jake Soto with additional filming by band friend Eddie Chavez. The track itself is a further showing of the band’s wonderfully captured aesthetic, with swooning shoegaze-y guitars and lush dream-pop vocals combining for a delectable melodic result.
