Bliss Nova – the Toledo-based brotherly dream-pop duo of Daniel and Joel Trzcinsk – impressed this past May with “All That I’m Used To”, which touted a psych-friendly soundscape and a series of memorable hooks that enjoyably straddled between chillwave, dream-pop, and psych-pop. That enjoyable style continues on new track “Say It”, which pursues ’80s synth-pop sensibilities alongside fellow split-single “Now”. Mellow synths and soaring vocals comprise the verses, leading to a spirited “feels like you love me” hook. The track’s final minute or so showcases some exemplary songwriting and atmospheric construction, with a superb bass line adorning the final 30 seconds as spacey synths and hypnotic vocal loops result in an enjoyably trippy sound.
