Multi-instrumentalist Carlos J. Ruiz III crafts gripping, atmospheric electro-pop music under the name Loveless Death Scene. The Los Angeles-based Ruiz shows impressive melodic chops on new track “Paradise Sleeps Alone Tonight”, a yearning pop ballad that would fit well at a school dance for vampires experiencing unrequited love for the first time, the playful buzzing synth lead meshing beautifully with Ruiz’ melancholic vocal lead and nocturnal rhythmic sparseness. Both the soundscape and melody conveyed in “Paradise Sleeps Alone Tonight” is likely to get stuck in your head.
