The High Crook scale things back a bit on new single “Baby Do You Know”, compared to the punch and angst of prior single “Do Me“. A soulful guitar solo around 01:41 is a nice subsequent feature to the lush vocals, projecting a suave and bluesy feel in addition to the catchy alt-rock composure. The group – from Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), the capital of India’s West Bengal state – successfully captures a feel that sits somewhere between punchy Brit-pop and blues-tinged alternative on this catchy release.
