AustiN is a talented avant-garde artist with a serious capacity for lush atmospheric charm. His Soundcloud is filled with memorable pieces of atmosphere, with chilled-out samples projecting quaintly composed melodies with a soft yearning. His audible development over the past six months has culminated in his finest release to date, the track “1991 VHS Tape Nostalgia (Law Of Love)”. Soft, whisper-y vocal samples combine with a tranquil guitar progression and lush synth warble, almost reaching an ASMR-inducing state. A slightly whirring synth pad enters the fold after the two-minute mark, with gorgeous vocal samples adding to a soul-tinged soundscape. Somewhere between The Beach Boys’ “All I Wanna Do” and James Ferraro’s Skid Row, sits the unforgettable atmosphere of “1991 VHS Tape Nostalgia (Law Of Love)”.
