Aradia is an electro-pop artist from Los Angeles, whose new track “CEO” is an anthemic highlight off her upcoming EP of the same name. She combines influences like Grimes, Florence Welch, and Lily Allen with her unique penchant for electro-pop to result in a contagious sound, one that first drew attention on her 2014 full-length album Citizen of Earth and returns with “CEO”, released on July 28th. “I just wanted to be happy / I just wanted to play my songs,” she sings to open the track, the lyrics speaking to evolution as an artist and songwriter. Minimalist synth-laden verses lead into an energetic chorus, with a synth arp reminiscent of Erasure. It’s a fun, lyrically introspective track from the returning Aradia.
