Sunset Exotic, the solo project of Santa Rosa-based producer/composer Charlie Foltz, shows fuzzy infectious charm on his fourth single, “High Fidelity”. Written as an ode to a relative stranger who left him with some pretty solid mix CD’s before moving out of the country, the track was inspired by mix CDs and the strangers you can share them with. Foltz’s vocal delivery reminds of the exuberance of Future Islands, while the fuzzed-up hook in particular touts an irresistible, summer-friendly feel with ample charisma. Look out for an EP from the project by this October, with a full-length following next year.
