The gentle guitar twangs and gentle brass-y accompaniment throughout Roberto Horns’ new track “Porn” help craft a very enticing sound. The Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer describes the effort as “a really fun/depressing take on being a single guy in his 30s”, featuring “live horns, cool textures and introspective lyrics.” This charismatic lyrical content combines with various instrumental flourishes – like a warbled bass line and cool key-laden effects around 01:55 – to maintain interest throughout. More spoken-word delivery around 02:20 reminds fondly of Outkast, specifically “The Train“. The guitar injection around the three-minute mark is another nice section — one of many on this fine, infectious effort.
