“Strawberry Hair” is a twangy slice of melodic pop from Madeleine Mayi. Her vocals, simultaneously serene and chirpy, maneuver with suave melodic precision throughout. The bridge, led by a psych-friendly vocal interlude and glistening synths, depart just enough from the primary chorus to keep things interesting — though not enough to burst the hypnotic bubble. The addition of more effervescent synths closer to the three-minute mark shows considerable atmospheric charm, especially with the funky solo thereafter wrapping things up nicely.
