Toronto-based pop artist Jordan Alexander impressed previously with the track “Take Me Out Tonight”, an accessibly hook-y track with a touching video. Alexander treads in the general mainstream pop spectrum, though with an additional embrace for infectious electronica and – on new track “Cool” – interesting guitar-led shuffles in the hook. This track explores the topic of relationships, falling for the wrong one and feigning cool in favor of honesty. A bit of a Latin acoustical flair emerges during the fresh hook, where Alexander concludes, “I don’t really wanna be without you.” It’s a fun, smooth-riding success again from Alexander.
