It’s not difficult for Eskimo Blue’s new single to capture all your attention. The aptly named track from this one-man Danish project touts a lovable lo-fi vein of psych-pop, expanding at 00:44 with additional guitar twangs that accompany the sonorous vocals and lush percussion well. The vocals uplift during the hook, reminding of Ariel Pink efforts like “Only In My Dreams” tonally, with a similar degree of quaint infectiousness. It’s a track that breezes by, but one that makes an impression with its hazy aesthetic and uplifted hook, which is book-ended by some interesting guitar twangs and brass-like ambiance. This is quality eskperimenterede lo-fi pop, for sure.
