With extended national airplay and an appearance on the Johnny Doom TV show, London-based alt-rockers The Survival Code are fast on the rise with their latest EP, Broken Strings. Producing a muscle-y vein of rock with fierce vocals that shine during a distortion-friendly chorus, the act features the powerful lead vocals of Gary McGuinness, who tonally finds a great in-between between metal and alternative. The polished production, intense energy, and passionate vocal presence makes for a great result on opener “One” – with its “save me” chorus – and the other two tracks on the EP as well, streaming in full below:
