Melbourne band Jaala just released an unexpected new tune “Junior Spirit”, the first new music from them in 2016. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Cosima Jaala has an extremely unique textured voice that could shine through just about anything. The contrast of her commanding vocals and the jazzy rhythm in this track can’t help but make you smile. If you are unfamiliar with Jaala, check out their debut album, Hard Hold, released last year. The group’s erratic style is what makes them extremely unique and structurally awesome. “Junior Spirit” is the first taste of what to expect from their follow-up album, due out early 2017.
