Based out of Richmond, Virginia, the music of Solo Corona sounds like it traveled across space and time, from a neon-flickering post-punk stage in the ’80s. From the hypnotic percussion and jangly guitar chords to the determined vocal tone, wonderfully reminiscent of The Chameleons UK’s Mark Burgess, “Shadowing” is a heavenly slice of nostalgia that will appeal instantly to fans of groups like The Chameleons, Comsat Angels, Psychedelic Furs, and other mood-drenched tone-setters for ’80s post-punk. Beautiful nonchalance mixes with haunting guitar tones and nocturnal vibes for an excellent track.
