Just released on Home Planet Records – the independent startup of Molly Moore and previously featured Brandyn Burnette – “Just a Dream” is an emotional piece of pop that features enthusiastic vocal duets over spacey guitars and synths. The new effort is the second release from Moore’s upcoming EP, Now U See Me, set to be released this fall. The stutter-y percussion effects and Far East-esque melody combines well with Moore’s enthralling vocals around the two-minute mark, serving as the track’s finest atmospheric moment, though the bass-y lead chorus certainly proves its worth as well. Moore and Burnette produced the EP together from their Toluca Lake apartment, finishing tracking live elements at Bedrock & Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
