6 Wings – the North Lauderdale-based hip-hop project of Dieusen Maxime – already impressed with “Money For My Thoughts” last month, but new effort “Black Fire” is even better. The beat touts a full orchestral feel, with strings and brass adorning the core hook as Maxime delivers his charismatic and rhythmically inclined approach. It’s laid-back as a whole and provides some yearning introspection, capturing a first-look infatuation in engaging form. “I thought I was trippin’ when you walked by, ain’t know your name so I gave you an alibi,” Maxime goes. “I told the homies you were hotter than a black fire / me and you, we can burn like eternity.” This track is hot fire, for sure.
