“Gum (Everybody’s My Friend)” is a super fun new track from Oyster Kids, a new indie-pop duo from Los Angeles. “‘Gum’ was inspired by Los Angeles. Living here, we’re constantly surrounded by pressures to fit in – It’s very easy to get caught up in it all. ‘Gum’ is our summer anthem for misfits everywhere,” they explain. Released on 8/11, the track’s primary hook is a crunchier transition from the verses, simplistic in its structure and melody but lovably infectious in the carefree “everybody is my friend” glee and crunchy guitars/rhythms. High quality effort from these LA-based duo.
