Canadian trip hop/psychedelic rock trio Post Death Soundtrack were last featured with the darkly consuming track “You Can’t Go Back“, which featured creepy organ-synths, cinematic production effects, and dramatic vocal murmurs in conjuring an atmospherically psychedelic soundscape that was successful in its captivating allure. “Beauty Eyes I Adore” (Dark Highway Mix) succeeds on several similar fronts, particularly the use of backing vocals, which sound more like murmuring ghouls than mere mortals. Combined with the crackling synths and tranquilly funky bass line, it makes for a very hypnotically successful sound that – along with “You Can’t Go Back” – confirms Post Death Soundtrack certainly deserving their namesake.
