Torquay five-piece Tourists will kick off single with the breezily infectious standout “Quiet Room”, which rides initially on glistening keys, shimmering guitars, and weightless vocals. The track follows their April single “Cut and Run”, which hit Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart. The group are playing their first headline show in London today and continue to record their debut album with producer James Bragg. While the guitars on the track recall a nostalgic jangle-pop quality, the gentle synth-pop element that the keys and lush verse delivery provide – and lead beautifully into the anthemic chorus – separates the track stylistically. This is yet another impressive single from Tourists.
