Centering around the theme of “losing clarity and wanting it back to you,” “Keys” is a warmly infectious effort from Basque-Greek singer, songwriter, and music producer Matiss Evreoux, who was raised in Santiago de Chile and currently based in Los Angeles. Warbly synths and rock-forward percussion build toward a joyous chorus, with Matiss’ sonorous vocals combining well with pleasant guitars and a prominently bouncy bass line. The prancing synths that emerge around 01:50 provide an extra-contagious punch, as well. This is a fun and hook-y success from Matiss Evreoux, who has the potential to soar sky-high.
