“Chemical Disguise” is a glitzy electro-pop effort led by a seriously bouncy bass and alternating vocal approaches, which alternate from robotic nonchalance in the verses to anthemic euphoria in the effervescent chorus, where glistening synth arpeggios drive a soaring vocal force alongside enthused rhythms. A bass-synth solo is quick to follow, interloping with various spacey synths to construct a commendably futuristic vein of pop. Daniel Anthony, AKA Oliver Sol, shows himself to be a very capable singer, songwriter, and producer throughout this glowing effort. Expect this Australian act to rise quickly.
