We showcased Lights On Ceres’ funky electro gem “Fly” a few weeks ago, though the different stylistic spectrum that “Moon Dance” successfully pursues – and its brilliance in general – warrants its own post. As the title would suggest, this is a nocturnal and spacey effort, with loopy synths and mellow bass that converge for a neon-tinged chorus that finds the perfect ground between placid spaciness and futuristic excitement. Comparing planets to a giant disco ball and then leading into an otherworldly synth melody makes for wonderful visuals, especially when watching the track’s excellent music video, which compiles space-related footage with haunting mystique. This Mexican duo has a galaxy’s worth of talent and potential.
