Someday I Will Miss You is the project of Dino Pavlov, a musician from Karlovac, Croatia who aims to create melancholic ambient soundscapes accompanied by raw, lo-fi rhythms. His lo-fi sound – the result of self-recording and self-producing – is warm and gauzy, the use of guitar and synths over Pavlov’s caressing vocals culminating in melodic bliss on the gorgeous track “Postcards From Other Lives”. A spacey arpeggio and warm feedback lead listeners into an eerily spacey soundscape, with some devastatingly beautiful moments occurring around 01:15 and onward, when the spacious percussion kicks in over eerie synth developments. It’s a very memorable effort, both in terms of captivating atmosphere and melodic growth.
Pavlov’s upcoming release sounds extremely promising. Be sure to check out some of his earlier efforts on Soundcloud as well.
