Astral Tide is a new post-punk band based out of Berlin, Germany. They’re a five-piece with members originating from all throughout Europe, including Italy, England, and Denmark. This eclectic collection of musicians have crafted something special with their track “Glimpses”, which is off their debut EP (out this summer). Beginning with frantic percussion and a lush synth pad, a subsequent blast of gauzy distortion quickly transports “Glimpses” into noisy bliss. The clanging, very prominent bass meshes with powerful vocals and an assortment of synths and steady percussion to result in a sound fondly reminiscent of British Sea Power, with a touch of post-punk greats The Chameleons UK in the melodically trembling vocal delivery.
