Cut Copy’s new album Free Your Mind can be streamed above, well ahead of its November 5th release date. With hook after hook, Free Your Mind seems like a return to the sound Cut Copy perfected back on 2008’s In Ghost Colours. Colorful and sweeping arrays of fluid synth landscapes and pulsating guitars are there, as usual, and the melodies seem stronger than ever. Even after a few listens, I can honestly say that Free Your Mind is one of the most consistent albums I’ve heard all year, the type of release with no glaring weaknesses. Everything from ’80s electro-pop to vintage surf-pop harmonies can be found on here. It’s such a fun album to explore.
