Paul Weller premiered the video for “That Dangerous Age“, the first single off his upcoming album Sonik Kicks. His eleventh solo EP is out March 27th on Yep Roc Records. Sonik Kicks was announced back in November, noting 14 new songs and appearances by Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and Blur’s Graham Coxon.
The video is a hazy, neon-filled blur that finds vague close-ups of Weller playing guitar over what looks like a laser show. It’s definitely in line with the color scheme on the album’s cover art. There’s also a woman with cleavage. Certainly a fun track, just like “Around the Lake“, the first track premiered off Sonik Kicks.
“With Sonik Kicks Paul Weller once again shakes up his palate and stirs his influences anew.” the PR release said. “He mixes pop art punch with soulful communication, jazzy explorations into psychedelia, and dub with razor-sharp melodies and abstract soundscapes with clear-eyed forest-folk.”
