Black Out Band… kids can rock out too?

Yeah, not the usual experienced band I would post about, but this is pretty unique. Black Out Band is a trio of three eleven-year-old friends in love with anything that has to do with music. Surprisingly, they are eleven-year-olds who don’t enjoy or create irritating screamo music. Even more surprising, their debut single ‘Video Games’ is pretty good (most certainly leaps above anyone else their age) and as the title may tell you, it’s about the band’s obsession with the common hobby of video games. Apparently during practice, they could never finish a song entirely without taking a break for video games, which was how the song was born. You can view a music video rehearsal on their web site, which will be followed next month with a professional music video done by the creators of several Beyoncé music videos.
They were raised on traditional classics, from Led Zeppelin to The Beatles, and lead vocalist Hunter has that exaggerated Neil Young slur that will certainly get better with time. I’m interested to see where Black Out Band will be in several years from now with their songwriting ability. I’m sure once they outgrow their video games and recesses, we’ll be hearing some heartbreaking love ballads when they reach high school.

It’s really sad but i actually liked that song a pretty good bit
yeah haha it grows into a bit of an odd guilty pleasure for some.
Pretty good for 11 years old.
I have just downloaded the Black Out Bands’ –new song: Video Games. It is now in the playlist of radio station — WZRO-LP, 93.1 FM, Suwannee, Florida. As I watch my grandchildren play their Video Games — this song is most appropriate for the times…and especially to be done by youngsters…..
I must admit, this band is one that grows on you. You may think at first, as some people have, that it is tosh. Aftera few plays, it sounds great! It’s catchy. That’s all a song needs to be a good hit. Take Fast Food Rockers for instance (not comparing you to them guys!!), they couldn’t sing, but still got a high placing in the charts.
Well done guys, especially at the age off 11!! They were so good, they got airplay on my show, and I hope to play more of their songs in the future!
These kids are lucky that they got introduced to music at such a young age. By high school they will be miles ahead of all the terrible garage bands that frequent the local venues.
this is the worst band on the face of the earth! I never thought music could sink any lower then all of this emo and pop crap and then this pile of crap comes along….lets just hope that they dont get a real record deal….
You guys suck, big time. Just give up and get on with your life’s.
Bill Lowns and Jim (the same dude with the same IP),
wow. you must really despise this group of 12-year-olds to post numerous times under a different name. wouldn’t one insulting comment be enough? haha
And you must be these creeps mother to not think that 2 dif people wouldnt hate the crap that comes out of these kids mouth!.
haha wow. if you really wanted to post a third time, the least you could do is mask your IP a bit better. you’re making it a bit too easy.
or maybe it’s just a coincidence that you are from Ashburn, Virginia as well! haha. whether you go by the name of bill lowns, jim, or blackoutsucks, your opinion is appreciated but it really isn’t interesting enough to be repeated three times.
Well, you can pretend that im the same guy also but i think this band is the worst band ive ever heard also.
